UAE Ghaf Population Genomics Study

United Arab EmiratesBiodiversity, conservation and evolutionCompleted / retained

Population-scale whole-genome resequencing of Ghaf trees collected across the UAE to characterize population structure, genetic diversity, differentiation and gene flow for conservation, seed banking and climate-resilient restoration.

03 / Data and access

What exists and how it can be reached.

Data types

  • DNBSEQ-G400RS whole-genome resequencing
  • population SNP genotypes
  • VCF
  • sample geospatial metadata
  • population structure and differentiation outputs

Data access

Raw whole-genome reads are reported as public through ENA/INSDC PRJEB82449; derived VCFs, sample metadata and population-genomics outputs are archived on Zenodo at DOI 10.5281/zenodo.15716843.

04 / Evidence and provenance

Why the record is included.

Inclusion basis

Distinct, completed UAE population-genomics study with peer-reviewed publication, official institutional confirmation, and durable public raw/derived genomic-data identifiers.

Editorial note

Keep distinct from ae-ghaf-tree-genome (EAD-M42 reference genome/methylation project) and ae-native-plant-genome-sequencing (EAD-M42 12-species programme). The publication states that an existing Prosopis cineraria reference genome enabled the analysis, but Batch 005 does not assert a direct Atlas relationship until the cited reference assembly/project is explicitly reconciled.
