Archaeal and bacterial diversity in sediments of Oman serpentinized fluids
This is a study on archaeal and bacterial diversity in sediments of serpentinized fluids expressed at the surface of the Oman Samail Ophiolite. The sediment samples were collected across sites that vary in geochemical composition as a result of geological context and the process of mixing between serpentinized fluids with surrounding surface water. Diversity was assessed through 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing. The Earth Microbiome Primer set was used. Amplicons were sequenced using the 2x150 MiSeq Illumina platform.
The accession and its GCC connection are verified. Registration alone does not establish that the broader research programme remains active.
