The novel bacterium Kocuria strain U4B sp. nov., isolated from the seeds of Citrullus colocynthis (desert melon) in the United Arab Emirates. To unveil the genetic basis of endophytic lifestyle of this bacterium under arid conditions whole-genome sequencing was performed.
