Modes of Reproduction in an Environmental Cryptococcus deneoformans Population
We analyzed the whole-genome sequences of 24 environmental strains of C. deneoformans from western Saudi Arabia, including one MATa and 23 MATalpha isolates, with 15 MATalpha isolates belonging to genotype ST160 as defined by their combined DNA sequences at seven loci for signatures of a-alpha and alpha-alpha sexual reproduction in natural populations.
The accession and its GCC connection are verified. Registration alone does not establish that the broader research programme remains active.
