Expression data of exosomal miRNAs extracted from plasma [Affymetrix miRNA 4.0]
Exosomal miRNAs have emerged as promising disease biomarkers. We aim to investigate the potential of exosomal miRNAs to assist with AIS clinical diagnosis. In the present research, we used the Affymetrix Genechip miRNA 4.0 Array to investgate the profiles of differentially expressed miRNAs (DEMs) in the exosomes of peripheral blood plasma. As a result, exosomal miRNA profiling yielded a total of 05 DEMs between the AIS (Acute Ischemic Stroke) patients and controls. Overall design: Peripheral blood samples of 5 AIS patients and 5 healthy individuals were collected for the for exosomal miRNAs extraction and hybridization on Affymetrix microarrays. In AIS group samples selected were: AIS-1, AIS-2, AIS-3, AIS-4 and AIS-5. Meanwhile, 5 healthy individuals were selected as controls: Control-1, Control-2, Control-3, Control-4 and Control-5.
