Saudi Arabian SARS-CoV-2 genomes
Here, we sequenced 892 SARS-CoV-2 genomes collected from patients in Saudi Arabia from March to August 2020. Nasopharyngeal swab samples were collected in COVID-19 patients with various grades of clinical disease manifestations – consisting of severe, mild and asymptomatic symptoms. The anonymized samples were amassed from 8 hospitals and one quarantine hotel located in Madinah, Makkah, Jeddah and Riyadh.
The accession and its GCC connection are verified. Registration alone does not establish that the broader research programme remains active.
